Prayers of Lithuania, disobeyed the orders of cross banishment, and chose a more remote place, the present Mount of Crosses. Even today, the Hill of Crosses is a sign of the strength of faith that overcomes all obstacles. Also, on the Hill of Crosses, you can find historical, wooden, metal, cast crosses from various regions and environs of Lithuania, thus creating a very unique place with its own history.
