Obverse: the obverse of the coin depicts a cavalry medieval Lithuanian soldier raising his right hand with a sword, thus emphasizing perseverance and devotion to his country. The sides of the coin depict two angels holding a shield, showing their blessing and care. The overall composition of the coin is the coat of arms of Aukštaitija. The Latin words "PATRIAM TUAM MUNDUM EXISTIMA" (consider your Homeland as the whole world) are inscribed at the bottom of the coin. The composition is surrounded by the inscription "LIETUVA" - the country of issue, the year of issue "2020", the logo of UAB Lietuvos monetų kalyklos, the largest region of the Lithuania "AUKŠTAITIJA". The outer ring features the 12 stars of the European Union.

About the coin: the Lithuanian 2-euro coin is dedicated to the Aukštaitija region. The Aukštaitija 2-euro coin is already the second coin in the series "Lithuanian Ethnographic Regions". The artist of the national side of the coin (coin obverse) is Rolandas Rimkūnas.
