About the coin: This 2 euro coin is dedicated to the famous Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam. This is the summer residence of King Friedrich II. The name "Sanssouci", which means restlessness and serenity, should be understood as the wish of the Prussian builder King Friedrich II, and the guiding principle behind which he chose to spend his pension here with his dogs. The rooms are elegant and stylish, and since 1990 the castle has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Because of its resemblance to the famous French palace, it is also called the "Little Versailles Palace". The coin is designed by Jordi Truxa and features a detailed illustration of the Sansusi Palace. The design also included the inscriptions "2020", "Brandenburg" and each German mint: Berlin - Munich - Stuttgart - Karlsruhe and Hamburg. The edge of the coin bears the inscription 'Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit'.
